Since 2019
% up or down on what I paidEach point is the price at the end of that year, and the zero line is what I paid. I bought in 2019 at roughly US$10,500 a coin; if it was closer to $10,000 the return would be about 6% higher, and closer to $11,000 about 5% lower. The last point moves with the live price.

Bitcoin priced at 10 September 2026. The live price couldn't be loaded, so these are the last saved figures.
The bitcoin price comes from Coinbase (or CoinGecko if Coinbase is down), and everything above is worked out from it. The year end history uses bitcoin's yearly returns from Slickcharts. There's no free price feed for watches, so the Rolex is shown at what I paid for it. The return is in US dollars and the shares are in Hong Kong dollars, which are pegged to each other anyway. Cash assumes no interest, and none of this is financial advice.
